Course of 3 – 6 interactive talks (his can be arranged to suit the school time table) The content can be reduced to shorten course if required.
Week 1: Lecture on anatomy and posture
Week 2: Posture practical class, Preparing for Leaving Cert Study
Week 3: Correct Stretching for Sport and Relaxation techniques for Study
Week 4: Injury Prevention
Week 5: Strengthening Exercises to support spine
Week 6: Use of Exercise Balls

Written consent from parents to take part in class to allow the therapist to teach exercises

5th and 6th class (maybe 4th class)
Maximum of 30 in a class, preferably 20
Written consent from parents to take part in class to allow the therapist to teach exercises
Large floor area with enough space for each child to lie on the floor
Course of 6 x 1 hour exercise classes, i.e. the above class extended to allow for progression
Of exercises over a number of weeks.
At the end the teacher should be in a position to continue the classes with the children.

This class would involve purchasing exercise balls of suitable sizes for the children.
Wobble boards may also be required.

Practical circuits focusing on Core Stability / flexibility / coordination will be progressed over the course of the programme, with coaches continuing the programme between visits from the physiotherapist.
